@Mark,

I appreciate you sharing so candidly. Work and relationships are the two biggest areas of challenge and conflict in our lives, and also the greatest opportunities for growth.

Please continue to watch the rest of the videos in this series and let me know if you discover anything helpful to your situation.

Hi,Chris. I'm trapped. I'm in a marriage where I'm always fat, bald and stupid. I'm in a State job with good benefits that pays below what I could make anywhere else, but offers job security. I never wanted job security. Now I'm trapped in it. The grass is always greener ... I'm aware of it. And aware of "wanting what you have rather than having what you want." Can't escape the feeling of entrapment and wanting freedom.

@David,

In short, yes I agree it's possible to be in a space in which the need to forgive doesn't arise. I like to refer to it as "forgiving before you've wronged me."

I appreciate you sharing and opening up some - it's amazing how we can't help but bring spirituality into other aspects of our work.

Sort of like how I'm currently teaching an e-marketing class at the Art Institute of Portland, and although I am teaching some very effective and powerful marketing strategies... underneath it all... is spirituality and personal development.

I can't teach without those basic spiritual principles underlying anything I share.

Hi Chris, You know, usually I would not do this, and join in at the level of directly opening up myself to help from others.

I am normally the one who is doing the helping, I am a hypnotherapist and have been for the past sixteen years. However, I find myself very much in tune with your your thoughts and spiritual awarness.

In my practice, I have found more and more, that, no matter what a client comes to me with, somehow the "textbook" hypnotherapy goes out the window and I find myself talking about the univeral energy of all that is, and, how all our conflicts are coming from our beliefs in conflict and the imprisoning illusion that we generate, from employing judgement, guilt and resentment as part of our agenda.

I was watching the forgiveness video, I believe the process of fogiveness itself is subltly hidden and hindered, behind beliefs that there is something to fogive in the first place.

The need to fogive is of course required if we are to free ourselves of the pain. But, don't you see, and I know you do, that the reason we are feeling so much pain in the first place is because we have made ourselves the victim, and to do this we must have judged the person, situation, enviroment or even the universe itself.

Our unique ability as human beings, that no other animanl or creature has, is our ability, for the ego of us, to pass judgement on another human being, automatically causing us to seperate from them. Actually it is one ego judging and seperating from another.

Now, this is not me saying this is wrong, that would be a judgment in itself. No, the message here is not one of more judgment, the message is, --- look at the effect of causallity.

Whatever we offer out or project is imediatley reflected back. We instantly feel the the source energy we project. So, offer resentment and you feel it, offer fogiveness and you feel it.

Now, I agree,take out of the vocabulary the word SHOULD, and JUDGEMENT goes out of your mind and your awarness in the same instant.

The fact remains, or at least it is my beief, that the universe in which we are all a part of, recognises no such element or components as SHOULD/SHOULDN'T,RIGHT/WRONG, FAIR/UNFAIR LUCKY/UNLUCKY etc.
these are society & cultural inventions,whilst ever we run our lives in this way, seperation will continue, and conflict & pain will generate from us.

The universe and the energy of all that is, is completely impatial, it has no demands of us, it supplies us with pure potenially, the ability to create in our own right. Their is no doubt in my mind that we are directly responsible for all our pain.

I want to be quick to point out, that this is not the same as being to blame, there is no blame, that is the whole point. However we still remain responsible for how we view our life and the illusion that we decide it is.

We would do well to create the true feeling and emotions that we wish to feel insead of blaming others or past experiences. By doing the latter we only generate more of the same ill feeling, our power to create is also impartial, we can create the most beautiful thoughts or the most dispicable.

One thing is for sure our emotions and well-being will be a perfect match for our thoughts.

this is why all answers can only be found inside ourself, and I can see that the "story" method and traing can be a valuable resorce in finding that awareness.

Wow, did not mean to go on so much. Must go client due.

Best Regrds to you and all members

@James,

Thank you for sharing! I'm sure many people here will find help and insight in your words.

And I love how you are able to acknowledge some of the aspects of yourself that affect your daily life, yet you have the awareness to not identify with them as "you."

Perhaps they are more important than you realize though... as it is our own unique experiences here on Earth that enable us to be of the best service to others.

I can only imagine what insights and wisdom you have to share -because- of your dyxlexia, shyness, and tone-deafness...

@sundeep,

Thank you for sharing! I too left the corporate world - and I can relate to what it is like to follow your dreams and passion, knowing that it will temporarily affect the way your family lives.

The good news is this:

- The corporate world *always* has a glass ceiling as to how much money you can make and how 'free' you can bee. The entrepreneurial world, on the other hand... well, the sky isn't the limit anymore, it can become the starting place!

You will be able to make it - you've got the skills and experience. Now it's just a matter of applying them in new ways. :)

@Poppy,

Thank you for sharing! My 3 1/2 year old son teaches me a TON all the time, so I can relate to what you're saying.

Just a thought...

What if you already have the seeds within you, and just haven't yet found the right combination of water, sunlight, and soil to help them grow? :)

@Anne,

The answer to your question is in your own writing here. :)

You use awareness. And just like your pneumonia, you make small improvements day by day, bit by bit.

The same is true of unfolding, discovering, and releasing our past stories - day by day, bit by bit, small improvements.

Consider that we have a LIFETIME of stories within us. Some happy, some sad, and most of them are limiting us in some way from being present and knowing the Truth.

And with a lifetime of stories, the best tool we have is awareness... to the best of our ability.

Keep it up! You're on the right track, Anne :)

Hi Chris: I have been expanding my spirituality for over 50 years now. I am now 75. Unfortunately at this moment in time I have pneumonia. Day by day I see a small improvement, but it sure is taking its time. I am under a doctors care.
     I am very aware of my mind creating "story lines" around negative feelings I may be having in any given now moment. I try to catch myself as soon as the awareness hits, but these things become so real so fast, seemingly so, that it is scary. I have noted that often these story lines describe what is going on in another person's mind and have not one base of truth whatsoever. It just seems true to me so then I can blame them. How can I stop doing this once and for all? Thank you for your excellent work.
     Love and Light, Anne
