Thanks for the ‘leaked chapter’. I found it not only good for the writing process but to allay fears in general. It’s another example of how writing can not only help us with the actual writing process but how it can contribute to our own self growth.

Can’t wait for the release of this.

I’m so grateful you were able to find it useful, Steven! I’ve noticed that the people I share this chapter with often find it to be one of the best ‘writing tips’ they ever get… and usually they pass it along to friends as well.

Dear Chris,
This is more amazing than I can tell you. The words I read played straight into my heart; like something I knew but couldn’t put “into words”. I find these stories in my head, usually late enough for me to judge it “too late at night” but I won’t shove my thoughts and stories aside…in fact I will get out of my own way!!!
very encouraging.

Looking forward to staying in touch and learning :)

I will write if you will promise me that it will not cost me any money to continue the program. I recieved this mailing thru David Wolf . He is a brillant man concerning health . I was very disapointed about his fees. Am I going down the same path? Please allow that information to be published if you intend on charging a fee.

Hi Joe,

Thank you for your comment. This week, I am sharing free videos so that if people find them to be helpful, then they may also want to join the Inscribe Your Life program when it’s available on July 30th.

Though the full Inscribe Your Life program will cost money, it will be significantly more affordable than David Wolfe’s program.

My intention is to make sure that regardless of whether somebody joins the Inscribe Your Life program, that everybody who comes into contact with me is able to walk away with something helpful in their own spiritual journey.

hi mike,
Everything happens for a reason and whether we are aware of it or not, it’s always on our best interest. We may not see it at first because it always comes through ways we dont understand like changes and pain. I left my husband 2 months ago too and I dont know if I did the right thing.I wanted to comfort you as I feel guilty as hell to have left but I just wanted some change in my life. But I guess you found your light and you seem very positive about the future. Blessings …

Living with no memory can be a hard place to be, I do not know how I got here and I do not know how to get out. Of course with no memory I do not know where I am meant to be heading.

I just look around and do not like what I can see, this place is wrong so I move on, but to where. I drift hoping that I will find a place I like and stay.
The rest of the people seem happy to stay and they call it home, how do they do that?

Hello Chris,

just to say that I am at a crossroads in life right now. I have this all consuming, driving force to cause change. I don’t really understand why, but I now recognise this as the “conflict” you mentioned in the video. As you said, our perspective changes.

For example, it always irked me getting the comment in my school reports “shows determination”. I regarded this as a second best “also ran” kind of comment and didn’t value my own efforts. After eighteen years as the mother of an autistic boy, still hanging in there,I can now appreciate my own strengths see the value determination.

Winnie,

Thank you for sharing – isn’t it fascinating what we discover when we can look back on our childhood with our entire life experience?

I certainly have learned a lot from the whole “Hindsight is 20/20 vision” adage. :)

Chris,

I have started my own book and the fears you said that everyone has when they start to write, I confess, have been mine. I appreciate your insight so that I can address them for what they are. It is enlightening to know others feel these things also. Great information. I look forward to seeing more.

Life is funny sometimes, I dont know the person who sent this link to me nor why, but the funny thing is that I have been studing the Law of Attraction for the last month. More ironically is the fact that I use to hate reading and writing and never thought of myself to be good at either. Over the years, however, I have put a lot of effort in expanding my vocabulary and writing skills, mainly because of business purposes, and suprisingly enough I have received several comments on my writing ability, which I thought and still think to still be rudimentary.

I still dont know why your website came to me but I have learned enough in life to know that there are no such things as accidents. I hope to be able to share with you the gift I am suppose to receive from your message, and when I what it is, I will…

OneLove!

Hola Chris,

I really enjoy the “leaked chapter”. The statement about “…based on your belief that somebody will judge you” is only on writing or by any chance, may it apply to everything?

Are you going to talk about accessing creativity?

Thank you very much.

Chris Cade Reply:

Alfredo,

Glad you enjoyed it!

I would say that the statement applies to most things we fear in life. In my experience, and I’m over-generalizing here, I’ve discovered two kinds of fear: The kind that is physical (survival-based), and the kind that is emotional/mental (fear of judgment).

Certainly when we hear that inner critic voice saying we “should” do something, or telling us we’re “bad” or “stupid” – in those times this definitely applies.

However, there are some situations – such as survival (fear of not having enough water while in the desert) where the fear of judgment isn’t even present… only the fear of death.

Long story short: In the lives that we lead, most of the time it does apply :)

Hi Chris,

First, let me congratulate you for doing such a great job. You’re willingness to share your person is bringing you to that path where passersby are made to stop and ponder.

The ‘Leaked’ chapter is reminding me to treat writing as “doing it for yourself.” I used to write my journals as a form of self-expression and for spiritual growth. But it seems that I’m having trouble with writing. Maybe because my avoidance of recalling not-so-good memories has got me into trouble of expressing myself. I’m trying though to go back to that passion. Hopefully it will be sooner.

Wishing you the best in this endeavor. May people be inspired by your every piece just as how fairy tales appeal so much in every child’s heart. May many hearts come to be touched by your simple way just the way you have touched mine.

God bless,

Chris,
I found your Overcoming your Doubts and Fears, chapter a little confusing or I just didn’t got the whole picture, what I did got right away was that the quote if you can call it that, about all fear and doubt is being based or rooted in the belif that somebody is going to judge us gave me a powerful insight about applying it to any situation in life, very powerful….

Thank you, keep up the good work and god bless you.

Hi chris, well I have just printed off your leaked chapter and am just about to read it . I have been told often that I have an aptitute for writing and I suppose the fact that both my parents were writers, one for radio short plays and the other children stories. well you would think I would feel rather confident but I am afraid to say that is not the case as because of lack of schooling you could say I lack the confidence, self discipline, and last but by no means least patience. Anyway chris I subscribed to your site because you awoke in me a renewed understanding, and over the past two days I have been getting flashes of this new understanding about life and what we are here for but I have not been writing any of them down … well you can bet your booties I will be doing exactly that from now on and on that note I will wish you a good day “no” I mean a great day and thank-you susannah

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your great videos and a free ‘Leaked’ Chapter.I find this information so clear, brief and enlightning! I’m glad to know that I always influence my subconscious mind whenever I’m writing something. I also like the fact that a story is the shortest distance between a human being and the TRUTH. I now feel more liberated to write without any fear of being judged.

Thanks once more for the kick start towards improvement and refining my writing skills, as well as towards the truth.

Cheers,

Ntobeko.

Chris,

The Law of Attraction in my life is amazing. Before I received “Inscribe Your Life,” I began to write an article documenting my spiritual growth. As you suggest, writing penetrates my subconscious and my ideas begin to flow. So, I am now writing to manifest my dreams. It’s definitely a process, but with your encouragement, perhaps you’ll be reading about my spiritual journey someday.

Infinitely Grateful,

Hey Chris,

I’ve just started writing blogs for my webstores as my very first attempt to write something that others will read. That was a huge step for me.

After reading your “Leaked” chapter, I feel really inspired to read “The Rest of the Story” and begin writing my own life story. You’re absolutely right that fear and doubt are the two largest obstacles to flowing with life as it is meant or desired to be.

In Gratitude,
Deb

[Reply]

20

Chris, thank you so much for sharing this! I cannot begin to tell you how inspired and empowered I feel after reading it.

I’ve spent a lifetime living in fear….mostly of being judged and judged harshly. Often it’s the self-judgements that are the worst, though I can’t help but think they are rooted in the stories that family, friends, society in general have told me over the years and which I’ve bought into. I think the most soul-destroying among those has to be that, as a high school dropout, I’m not smart enough, I can’t possibly know anything of value, anything worth sharing. Oh, I have a few certificates under my belt, gained as a mature student in programs that didn’t necessarily require any of the usual prerequisites, some of which even allow me to earn a decent living, but even at that, I’ve managed to convince myself that they don’t count and, as a result, I’ve continued to feel less-than and stupid and….

As I read what you wrote, I found myself questioning on a level I never have before, the validity of all of those old messages and I even heard a voice, which I later realized was my own, saying “It’s not true, Janet. The truth is what you believe it to be. That’s the only truth that matters.”

Thank you so much for this wonderful gift of finding my own voice and believing it is of value.

Namaste,
Janet

Thank you for sharing with us the voice of your Inner Critic, Janet.

I can relate to your experience that most of my inner judgments are from my youngest years, and to hearing that voice on the other shoulder reminding me that there’s a deeper truth that the Inner Critic doesn’t quite know.

I wish you will in your journey of unearthing your truth and living in alignment with it.

I am a 49-year-old wife of 14 years to a dying alcoholic who drinks 1/2-gallon of Vodka each and every day.
I am sooooooooooooo tired of my life and watching him slowly kill himself. It’s killing me too, but in a totally different way.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. I believe in a Higher Power and I’m praying constantly.

Thank You.

@Marcie, Hello Marcie. A good thing to get clear about is :what do you want, not what you don`t want in life.Go for it and as Cris said; write a new story. Myself is sober from alkohol 8 years, and are more connected to higer power than ever. When you get clear in what you want, you will change and your spouce will change, it`s up to you.

Don Campbell Reply:

@Marcie,
Hi Marcie,
What Carlos says is bang on. Focus on what you want as compared to what you don’t. The reason is we get more of what we give focus energy and attention to even if it’s not what we want. This is the law of attraction at work and it working whether we acknowledge it or not.

Most people are stuck because they are hoping that their situation will change, or the other person will change, or, that someone will come and rescue them. They are counting on the “hope and a prayer” method not realising it’s about taking responsibility for their lives through the actions that they take.

Changing how you frame your words and your thinking is easier than it might seem. Quiting 35 years of smoking for me didn’t from from “I’m going to quit smoking” because that sure didn’t work. That’s because I was concentrating on “the smoking”. When I make a declarative statement “to breathe only fresh air” now that changed everything. So make a declarative statement in the pure positive about what you do want and you’ll attract that into your life.

As Carlos also said “it’s up to you”

to your spirit,
Don C

I enjoyed your chapter but then I usually enjoy what you write. I can see where writing for personal satisfaction would take a lot of the fear out of writing. I can even tell myself that I’m not a writer. I just put words on paper. I can also see where writing it down can help you work through a problem. I’ve used writing as a way to clearify my thinking at work and with my person relationships. I’ve just never used it for my spiritual life. I used music for that.

Thank you for shairing your work with us.
